Do you know how powerful event branding is, how much of a difference it can make in how well (If at all) your brand is remembered at an event?
You see these days, if you’re trying to grow a personal brand or a business brand, people tend to focus on just the awareness aspect of things (which branding also helps with).
Most of the time though, they neglect the actual gist of the brand image-especially at corporate events.
So today, I’ll be sharing with you four things that make branding at corporate events absolutely important.
Let’s start.
Attendee Loyalty
If you want to get your attendee’s coming back to you, branding is definitely the way to go.
Now. When I mention branding, I don’t just mean the embroidered chairs, the logo’s, and the colours-which are all very correlated to branding by the way.
What we need to do, is to look deeper into what branding actually is.
It is representing your brand image in a consistent way towards an audience so that at first glance, they know exactly what your brand is, and more importantly, what it represents.
Let me repeat that-branding is not just about showing your audience your brand, but showing them what it represents.
Picture this-you go to a function, as soon as you arrive, ushers help you with your coat, provide you a drink, and lead you to a well decorated table complemented with plushly cushioned seats.
Before the event has even started, the brand that is hosting it has already done 70% of their branding job right.
The next time that you see an ad or invitation for another one of their events, the first thing that comes to mind is quality, luxury, and premium experiences.
That’s a pretty good way for you to keep guests loyal. That’s true branding.
Voice Your Purpose
Secondly, branding can be one of the best ways to voice out your brand image.
What do you stand for? And Why?
This point can be correlated to the previous one but it is actually more focused on the actual purpose of your brand.
You see if your brand doesn’t have a clear purpose, it’s like a ship sailing around with no real destination.
That can be incredibly problematic for both you and the people whose eyes land on your brand.
If there’s no purpose to it, you’ll never be able to distinguish between a win and a loss.
And this is the same at events. If your brand has no purpose at an event, yes the logo’s might be there, but you haven’t really achieved anything.
But what does it look like to have a purpose?
Well it’s actually quite simple and once you gain momentum, you’ll start to cruise right through every event.
Think of what you want your brand to do for your customers, your audience, charity wise, maybe the city, maybe the country, maybe the continent. Set that as your brand purpose.
Now, build your events around that purpose so that your guests know that your brand is representative of it.
Every time your audience comes across a similar passion or drive to achieve that purpose they’ll almost always think of your brand.
Consistency and Familiarity
Next thing we’re going to talk about is consistency.
You want to make sure that your brand is consistent with every event so that your audience grows familiar and connected to it.
Branding comes in key when doing this as it creates a sort of brand personality that can be replicated at the many different functions that you choose to host.
This may seem difficult but it’s quite straightforward.
I’d say it’s probably the go-to action when people think of branding their events.
In this section is where you focus on colour ways, fonts, music, decor. That’s the kind of consistency you should be looking for.
Once your events become consistent, your audience becomes familiar with your brand making it significantly easier for you to interact with them.
One more thing though. Beware that in the same way that consistency can accelerate you forward, it can also take you backwards.
If your brand’s events are consistently poorly organised, unentertaining, or uncomfortable for your guests, they’ll familiarise the brand with things of that nature. Not good.
Create Awareness
Of course, I couldn’t dare leave this one out.
Branding at corporate events helps you to create awareness about whatever you have going on.
Be it a business or your own personal venture, branding can significantly increase awareness about almost any product, service, and anything else under the sun.
Here’s how it works.
When you brand your event. It is so much easier for people to share it with others.
Not only that, but if you manage to implement the two previous points on purpose and consistency, people that haven’t previously interacted with your brand will be aware of your purpose and brand image so much faster.
This could end up saving you a certain percentage of time and money that would be otherwise poured into marketing to achieve the same gain in awareness.
At Your Fingertips
The four main reasons for you to religiously invest in branding at corporate functions that you host, at your fingertips.
